Coney Island is a most exciting place with a great past, part of our collective memory. Stick around to see the tremendous changes to come. Astroland has reopened for the '08 season; there are many boardwalk features, Nathan's Famous, the Cyclone, the Parachute Jump, and of course I am crazy for the Wonder Wheel and Deno's Wonder Wheel Park, not to mention the beautiful swimming beaches, and Keyspan Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Don't forget the Mermaid Parade! And how about Coney Island Creek? Rustic/industrial, great birding, a natural paradise. There are also some stunning community gardens which provide fresh produce and beauty to neighborhood residents.
