The Verrazano-Narrows, A bridge that's seen by all; Its towers are imposing - They are so fine and tall. It has a beauty all its own,
Distinct from all the rest;
Sunsets by the bridge, you know,
They really are the best. I sit beside the water As often as I can, To watch the boats and cargo ships Pass under the mighty span. Next time you go out driving Be sure to park your car Beside the Verrazano - It isn't very far. © Deborah Matlack 1997
